Guest guest
Energizing with L-Carnitine and CoQ10. Energy creation depends on molecular processes going on with the cells' mitochondria. If these cellular powerhouses falter, power slacks off. Schwartz MD, author of Natural Energy (Putman) says that nutrients L-carnitine and Coenzyme Q10 are instrumental in restoring and maintaining good mitrochondrial health so that our energy system can function well. The body can make only 25% of its own carnitine, and amino acid. The rest must come from diet or supplements. L-Carnitine is found in meat & dairy, so vegetarians may not get enough. L-Carnitine helps move fatty acids into the mitchondria, where they are burned, and helps removes wastes. It also performs other vital chores: strengthening cell membranes and assisting in hormone and red blood cell production.
