I was communicating with Ivan off list about the ozone issues we've been discussing. Most of our problems concern ozone in the air and how it affects our asthma. Ivan claims knowledge of medical ozone used by doctors for other ailments and wanted to share some of that information with us. I told him I would ask the group. He does have asthma and is willing to stay on topic if we say we're not interested. I've read a bit on stuff I've found on google. I can post a link to one article I found.

I am always open to knowledge. Knowledge is power. However, please please understand that medical ozone treatments are not proven or recognized by the AMA. Although, they don't recognize the power of local honey either. As far as I am concerned he is welcome to post links. For those who are interested they can follow through. Those that aren't can always hit the delete button. He should just make sure to mark anything unrelated to the asthma as off topic. Madeline http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lungs_on_Vacation/

What inhalers? I have found that menthol actually aggrevates my cough. The best thing I have found to help control the asthma cough is Symbicort. I don't cough near as often since I started on that. Also, very very icy cold water will help, and don't forget peppermint and peppermint tea. Madeline http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lungs_on_Vacation/

thanks Alana i am looking forward to learning from the groups experience with Asthma.

Currently on 2 inhaler from the VA (veterans administration)

Proventil every 6 hr AND Aerobid every 2x day.

and using a menthol liptious cough drop.

And for the last 4+ weeks it hasn't done much to get rid of my wheezing, huffing & puffing and the dam barking cough.

And for a week or more it is really bad.

Peace and good health.
