Guest guest
Hi Janine welcome, you will learn lots from this group. , sometimes the initial pain during and after such things is hell, and you find it so amazing the next day, to feel so better and realize just what you had managed to endure. I have no decent veins either. many things used to be delivered Iv in ankles or feet. I had one of my children with a drip in a really weird part of my under arm( agony, and 1 in each ankle. God it was the most uncomfortable birth I have had, couldn,t move, couldn,t turn etc, couldn,t clench a fist lol. It too was cos of broken, flat veins. I never have such things now, but if and when I ever do have to go thru it, it would be either ankles or near breast bone now. Glad its over, but still write to the CEO. Yes cutbacks are often a way out, but when people are already having troubles with breathing one would know stress doesn' help, nor does undue pain. I am an expert on PAIN believe me, mine usually is 11 or 12 out of 10, daily. So can empathise. Hope most are doing ok, and those who are not, thinking of you. I am off to Brisbane for a 4 day conference and training. I am going down in a car with 3 people who all, dislike each other lol. Golly might have to borrowan MP3. I am staying in a different place, so at least should be peaceful. I have been lucky enough to get an extra 4 cab vouchers so can go into city after the courses etc. I have never had that luxury before. I ama little worried cos my carer can,t come with me, although 2 in the car are carers for others. Just they are carers like I am, for medical stuff, my needs are physical. Thus the cab vouchers. Well must go, take care all, see you in 4-5 days. SandyCarer/ Consumer Representative Central Area, Mental Health Clinical network. "Sec/ Co -ord HBCAG & GEMS. What if yourdad is not well? I think you should discuss it with your doctor. Next time you have a procedure done, I would ask ahead of time. Won'thurt to ask.Hope you're feeling better, Karin>> Hi Carole,> > The reason that I need a port-a-cath is that my veins are verydifficult to get a picc line into even when done in radiology.
