ADHD/ADD and the work

Hi everybody,

I have been diagnosed ADD and have been on Ritalin for more than a

year now which has improved my life INCREDIBLY - it's as if I had not

really been myself and alive before - I had been in a constant kind of

smog.

The work of Byron helped me a lot to deal with the sadness that

came with realizing that I had not been truely living the first 40

years of my life (not true, of course), but although I spend about 1 or

2 hours a day doing the work, I could not reduce medication - which I

had hoped for. I find it extremly hard to accept that I may have to

take Ritalin for the rest of my life.

My question is: Is there anybody around who actually could reduce or

even discontinue medication as a consequence of a regular practice of

the work???

I am NOT interested in a discussion of the pros and cons of Ritalin

since it has helped me so much, I'm just looking for other people's

experiences. I have found nothing to that topic in any of the ADHD-

forums.

Many thanks in advance!

Enya
