Guest guest
I looked it up and the only requirement I don't meet is "you must have been without health insurance for 6 months". Sent from my iPhone The website is healthcare.govSent from my iPhone I know many of you are familiar with insurance so I thought I'd ask here. My husband recently lost his job and we're now faced with COBRA that's over $1800/month (by the way, I'm an independent contractor, so I don't have insurance through work). We have four kids. My son with autism has Medicaid through an adoption. We've found private insurance -that we could use in the interim until he finds something. However, the private insurance carrier won't accept me and says that I will be lucky if we find any carrier that will - I take Tramadal for a leg pain that no doctor has been able to diagnose despite $$$'s spent on trying to find out. Any suggestions? = =
Guest guest
Go to your local state health/medicaid department and tell them your story. You would be very surprised to find out how many people qualify for insurance who have special circumstances even if they don't meet the criteria based upon income or migratory status. Plus, there is a free clinic in my city and the cities around me that are not advertised. I think they are run by local county health departments. Call around to find them. Love and prayers, Heidi N
