Guest guest
My twins on the spectrum will be eligible for kindergarten next year. I am debating on either homeschooling them or sending them to a good private school in the greater Houston area that accepts ABA shadows. Does anyone have a good recommendation on a private school that will allow this? They are both pre-verbal, for the most part, and one of the twins has some behavior issues. I would prefer a non special needs school with some ethnic diversity in the student body as well as the faculty. If I decide to homeschool, any recommendations on where to start? The idea is so overwhelming, but I'm sure I could do it with the proper guidance, preparation, and resources. Thank you!
Guest guest
Some religious based pre-schools accept shadows, however, since your children are going to be in kindergarten you would need to look for a private religious based school that has a bridge class program--which is more like a pre-k class for kindergarten readiness. I know a couple of families whose young children went to Crosspoint Church in Katy (Westgreen between I-10 & Kingsland Blvd.) and were enrolled in their bridge class. Crosspoint Church - Katy 700 Westgreen Boulevard Katy, TX 77450 http://www.crosspt.org/ I hope you find what you're looking for. R.
