Guest guest
Hi , In 2004 I had the money and the time to do something for my personal growth. I was considering The Work of Byron that I had known for about a year by then or something called Avatar. And I am sooo glad I had a friend who was very clear. She said: “Do the School – no question!” I trusted her. And it turned out to be the best thing I’ve EVER done in my life. As I said, I had been familiar with the Work and also had been doing it but The School really “engrained” the process and deepened my understanding of it. I also had some life changing experiences like losing all fear around death and illness and such. Amazing! So to answer your question in short: It was ABSOLUTELY worth it! Your other questions have all been well addressed. Maybe some about L.A. or Germany. I’ve done my School in Stamford, CT but I have staffed in Germany and also translated part of the material for the German School. Yes, the translating does slow everything down naturally. That may be a good thing as it is with eating slowly. :-) You may also want to have friends to do The Work with (or to visit) from all over Europe/the World. That’s another advantage of a German School. But if you don’t need “breathing space” as someone put it nicely and internationality is not important, I’d say go for L.A. Whatever you do, that much is true, it will be a great experience – even if you don’t go. :-) HYPERLINK " http://www.theworkforbreakfast.com/ " www.TheWorkForBreakfast.com _____ Von: Loving-what-is [mailto:Loving-what-is ] Im Auftrag von briancarr73 Gesendet: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 4:41 PM An: Loving-what-is Betreff: School for The Work in Germany Hello all, I'm on the verge of booking onto the School in Germany in a couple of weeks....am feeling kind of nervous about it, as though I'm about to jump in at the deep end (although I've been doing The Work intermittently for about a year now)...yet I feel powerfully drawn to it, and the money and finances work (just about!!) Anyway...I do have a couple of questions I hoped some of you may be able to help me with. *What's the format? How much time is spent actually doing The Work compared to other things? How involved is ? *There's going to be a German translation running. This is a kind of strange question, I guess, but how " obtrusive " is that (no offence to German friends!). I ask only because I'm hard of hearing, and am worried that I'll find it difficult to hear the English if there's a German translation running concurrently.-..OR that the translation will slow things down, since everything will have to be repeated. Or am I worrying unnecessarily? Just wondered if anyone had any insights. *And generally - of those of you who've been to a School...was it worth it?
