When a noninsulin dependent diabetic starts to bounce around, they get put on insulin. In a lot of ocases (but not all), the " brittle " is a result of the aging process. It's more work to maintain one's health as we get older - more work to do so! And diabetes is no exception. Also, a young person who doesn't take good care of their health and thinks they are " getting by with it " usually sees the side effects start to bloom (including getting brittle) as they get older. Dawn, if you are still with us, I too am sorry for all the anguish you have been put through - I for one do not have a nice computer and with my illnesses may never be able to afford a better one - but at least I have one! And some Email systems or message lists do not allow fancy large print - it is converted back automatically - like on my cancer list. You just have to learn to swing with the punches and be a little more tolerant - someday you may need the same courtesy given to you. The Golden Rule is: Do Unto Others What You Would Have Them Do Unto You. Someone said this list is for helping others and gleening information for ourselves and the generic Netiquette Rules just don't fit here, in some cases. What happened to kindness and understanding? It is not dependent on the program. One of my students uses it quite satisfactorily for all his written work. Great program. We are in the process of getting a second copy to use with another visually impaired child. Both also have CP. And btw Dawn is not posting in caps on another list I am on. Interesting.
