To: chiariegroups Hello from the Northwoods of Minnesota, I have been out of touch since last Tues. when our E-mail Exchange server went down. Took me a while to figure out out how to get back to the group on the Net. I have had my decompression surgery postponed (was to have been 4/29/99 in Fargo ND.) I have asked for a referral for second opinion from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Mn. Have run into difficulties w/ HMO and primary provider clinic giving me the run-around. Mayo Clinic is outside our HMO's health care provider network. Have experience a short period of remission of symptoms, am able to physical work I was unable to do earlier last week. Feels great but don't trust it will last. Is this normal? Have others gone through these periods pre-surgery? Make me wonder whether I should be considering surgery. Oh well, I suppose my symptoms will be back soon so I should enjoy the temporary relief. Thanks for being there and listening.
