Guest guest
Crystal, Hey I think you and I are riding in the same boat. I had my TR on May 30, 2001 and was not thinking at all. It was court ordered that my ex husband keep me on his insurance plan until I remarried. Well, guess what I had a dumba** attack. I told my b/f at the time that I would not have the TR and take a chance on becoming pg without us being married. So on May 25, 2001 we got married. Not thinking ahead at all I went through the TR and everything and it was about 4 wks later when AF should arrive I got to thinking I did not have health insurance. What in the world am I going to do? At the time my husband was self employed and the cost for health insurance is very high. Since then I have decided to return to work myself. And he has changed jobs but neither of us will have health insurance for 90 days. I just know deep down inside that this will be the time that I will become PG. I am not sure if either of them will have to cover the pg or not. That I dont know. But dont feel like you are out there all alone because I am in the same boat with you. If you need or want to talk I am here. Your friend, Tami Mitchem Beckley, WV tmitchem@... INSURANCE INFO HELP!!!! > I just got a real dissapointing bit of information. Guest guest
Crystal, Nothing in a health policy should ask whether or not you PLAN to become pregnant. It will only ask if you ARE pregnant. Depending on your income level - you may be eligible for a Department of Health insurance plan - especially if you already have minor children who live with you. Even if your EX says he has coverage on the children - make sure you have a plan where the insurance notifies you if he drops the coverage. My EX was to carry coverage on our children as part of a Court Order but dropped it and I didn't find out until I needed to take my daughter for emergency treatment and medication. Then I found out it had been dropped 11 months before. Just one of the many reasons he's an EX :-) You might also see if your Dh's place of employment is a member of your Chamber of Commerce. Sometimes they offer group health plans for members and employees. It's always less expensive to buy into a group than go with an individual plan. Good luck!! Guest guest
Crystal, I wouldn't tell an insurance company you had a TR. If you had never had your tubes tied they would have to pay. It is none of there business that you wanted to be a whole person again.
Guest guest
You can double check with your insurance commisioner, but I bellieve that pregnancy can not be considered as a pre-existing condition. So even if you were pregnant at the time you signed up for insurance they still could not hold it against you Those who fail to plan, Plan to fail
Guest guest
Contact NASE, it is for self-employed people. You may have to have a DBA or something. A business is defined as any attempt to earn money whether or not you actually make a positive cash flow. Good Luck! carly m > >Reply-To: TubalLigationReversal >To: TubalLigationReversal >Subject: INSURANCE INFO HELP!!!! >Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2001 23:25:01 -0000 > >I just got a real dissapointing bit of information.
