Guest guest
Hello Sandy Good to hear from you again. Kerri (Aust) From: bronchiectasis [mailto:bronchiectasis ] On Behalf Of Sandy Sent: Monday, 30 April 2007 9:50 AMTo: bronchiectasis Subject: Craig/Ellen all Just a few lines to say , its very important for new members to remember we are all different and that although we may share the same disease, we also often have other illnesses and weaknesses that create and change our health. We are at all different stages also, some take medications some don,t, what works for one doesn,t work for others and same with surgeries. Some do well, some not so well etc. Its great to be able to come here share your problems and your wins too. Here in this forum, you can learn a lot, and in that then can work with what you learn, by seeking more opinions, look for more symptoms, more ways to treat things etc. Often allay fears, because of ignorance to certain subjects. Use of methods, types of apparatus, and types of tests etc. There are many things like immune systems, sinus, asthma, arthritis, gerd, reflux, etc that also do often play a hand in the illness. Like the egg before the chicken. People will always debate, however we do know from many of our stories that we do have all these facts that show all seem to be and play a significant role with our illness. Staying with good understanding doctors, and not continuuing to go where you are not heard, and not happy is and will drag out treatment options. None of us wish to suffer, when there is much out there to help. Look for 2-3 opinions, keep on wha=ts working and insist on changing whats not.working. Gather ideas from here and take to a doctor, therapist who will listen and help you to try something new if you so wish. Remember to either keep a file of helpful tips, names of hospitals, medications etc. So can draw on next time you need it. I keep a diary. I also keep a health daily journal, and think its very good to get into the habit of, entering something every day. Even if its just woke good, had good day, or tired all day. All seems to form patterns. Just a little advice. I am so pleased to see Craig answering the post of Ellen. I have been tied up in my mental health work, and not posted for a week or so. Seems so quiet here. Ellen, keep posting, and people will answer to the best they can. Craig sorry to hear your op wasn,t as successful as had hoped, how are you doing and what news can you share. Always interested in OT stuff too . Surely this is a support group to share a snippet off topic too.
