Hi All,

Thank you so much to all those who responded to my first letter. It's great

to

know I can count on you for support no matter what it is. Just wanted to

let

you know I am in another holding pattern. But my pcp confirmed my

suspicions

so I will share what is happening.

The muscle wall between the rectum and vagina has collapsed creating major

problems for me. It hasn't been but is becoming very uncomfortable the

longer it goes untreated. My pcp believes that this is directly related to

the neurological problems caused by the acm/sm. But the repairs have to be

made by an GYN or digestive diseases doctor. I called today about an appt

and the soonest he could get me in to the GYN is May 18th. By then I'd be

in really bad shape. So I am waiting to see who I get sent to and how long

that will take. This is not that uncommon and is easily (uncomfortably)

repaired but who knows with these doctors here. They are cocky, uncaring

and unwilling to bend in an urgent situation. It always amazes me but this

is how it is.

I told my pain doc about his on Monday and he told me to make sure there was

time for the anesthesiologist to call HIM and discuss what he is treating me

for, why and what medications I am on. He wants to make sure there are

allowances for the disorder in surgery as well as adequate pain relief.

Since I am on high doses of narcotics, he said that he will tell them that

the puny 50 mgs of demerol they will want to give me will not be even close

to enough. I was so thrilled that he would advocate for me in this way.

What a special man. I wish he was younger and going to be around longer but

I am grateful for the time he gives me. He told me he treats me as if I was

his own daughter.

Anyway, Please keep praying for me and that this will be taken care of very

soon. PLEASE,, LOL
