Presenter: nna Bond, M.Ed. ATP is a special education consultant and nationally certified Assistive Technology Practioner/Professional. She is also the parent of two wonderful children who are on the autism spectrum. Her 25-year-old daughter, , has moderate to severe Asperger Syndrome and several other health conditions and is currently a senior at Texas Woman’s University. Her 20-year-old son, , is currently a junior at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and was diagnosed at 27 months with autism but he has overcome the difficulties associated with his autism. He also has several additional health concerns. nna has been involved in the field of autism for the past 18 years and has worked as an active advocate, speaker, and educator.

This session provides an overview of the iPad including basic operation and maintenance, available applications for individuals with disabilities of all ages and options for augmentative alternative communication (AAC) applications for individuals who are low- or non-verbal. This will be an interactive session, and participants are encouraged to bring their iPad, iTouch, or iPhone to the session.
