Guest guest
Aetna in most of NYC is usually always just full and not accepting new providers, BUT as some of you may know, Aetna pays licensed creative arts therapists out of network. It's actually better in some ways as they usually pay my full fee and the patient just has to pay around $30 per session, do its better in that you get paid more than in network. For example, Cigna only pays $67.93 per session for in network providers. You have to make sure your prospective patient has out of network outpatient mental health coverage, what the deductible is if there is one, what percent if your fee they pay and if they limit sessions, how many per year are covered?
