Guest guest
We tried several different treatments(including cock roach juice serum prescribed by dermatologist) which resulted in a visit to the ER; as related to, weeping of lesions to eyes and nasal passage. We were advised by infection control specialist to leave lesions ALONE.........We did exactly that and the lesions gradually faded away within 2-3 months. It's been (3) years since the ordeal. My son has been treated for Forth disease, Fifth Disease, Impetigo and Molluscum was scary!! My son has it since February-March. We've tried 3 different creams, also freezing it 5 times, but it keeps coming back because his immune system is not kicking in.. I am trying my best to boost his immune system. This virus can take 1-3 years to go away on its own, but freezing normally takes care of it. except for people with bad immune system. The problem is that it is spreading on his face now. started on the back of his neck, on the bottom of his chin, now forehead.. Any feedback is appreciated. Guest guest
My older son who doesn't have autism had mulluscum last year for 7 months. It came at the end of January and lasted until the end of July. It was under his arm and down his side. Our doctor said that we could do the freezing, but since it wasn't in a noticeable place we could just let it run it's course. It didn't itch him, but it looked ugly. The little white heads were almost like pimples. If he scratched one off, he got 1 or 2 more next to it. We battled not touching or scratching it and just letting them heal and go away. Our doctor said it would take 6-12 months to go away and that is about what it took. Nothing I did with creams seemed to help. It just slowly went away. Sorry I don't have a magic cure. It really is an ugly infection. Just wait it out. > > Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating Molluscum Contagiosum ? My son has it since February-March. Guest guest
Like , our son without autism got this disease. Our dermatologist actually recommended a homeopathic " remedy " for this which we are currently using. I believe it has helped somewhat, the whitehead, pimple-looking spots have changed into slightly red bumps. We only started treatment on July 2nd. The product is MolluscumRx Natural. We got it from Westlake Dermatology (Austin), or the website is www.molluscumrx.com Good luck! Ann > > Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating Molluscum Contagiosum ? Guest guest
As a viral illness, this might respond to application of organic virgin coconut oil. I have used this on mouth sores, and my mom has used it on her shingles. It seems to sooth and to very much inhibit viral infections. You would want to reapply often, though not thickly - just a coating. If you want to intensify the effect, try taking monolaurin (the part of the coconut that cracks the hulls of viruses, allowing them to be attacked more easily by the immune system)- we use Ecological Formulas' capsules. The other thing we've used topically on viral stuff is colloidal silver, but you have to be careful with that, especially for us folks who can't purge metals effectively from our systems. > > > > Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating Molluscum Contagiosum ? Guest guest
Braggs Vinegar took care of it for my son. We would apply it at night before bed ( it is a little stinky). Took a couple of weeks, but the lesions dried up and healed. > > > > > > Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating Molluscum Contagiosum ? My son has it since February-March. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your support and advice. I have been giving him new strong immune support supplement and also increased other immuno related supplements and it seems to look better. I really feel like he can't get rid of it because of his weak and damaged immune system. just like when some bumps were gone after freezing, new ones keep coming out in different places because the immune system is messed up. I just hope it can go away soon. it's an ugly and painful virus Topical is not doing much and a lot of the times just burns his skin .Did not see any difference with coconut oil and i used it for a while.Bought Bragg's vinegar today. Aloe plant has been great,I just thought of using it a few days ago, I love aloe and I have been putting it on him all day long. It really is taking the scars away from the old bumps on his neck. Thanks again. Elena. -Elena From: starsrocket To: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Sent: Thursday, August 2, 2012 6:40 AM Subject: Re: Molluscum Contagiosum Braggs Vinegar took care of it for my son. Guest guest
I'm glad to know about the vinegar. Besides organic virgin coconut oil (topically) and monolaurin, taking the amino acid Lysine would be helpful - this inhibits viral replication, while the coconut/monolaurin damages the viruses' defenses. A one-two punch. > > > > > > > > Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating Molluscum Contagiosum ? My son has it since February-March.
