Guest guest
The NADTA Tri-State Chapter Proudly Announces the 2013 Eastern Region Conference Saturday, March 30th, 2013 Navigating the Many Narratives of Drama Therapy Please save the date for the NADTA Tri-State Chapter’s conference, “Navigating the Many Narratives in Drama Therapy” on Saturday, March 30, 2013. The themes of the conference will center upon exploring the story of our field thus far, the narrative of our personal experience as clinicians, and in the attitude of looking forward, considering how we will write and shape the future tale of drama therapy. Topics may include: How has the field changed since its inception? How are the educational institutions, settings, and populations in which we work changing? What are the innovative practices that are bridging the gap between drama therapy and CBT, DBT, and the medical model? You are a drama therapist—how does the work affect you? How has it changed you? And how has your work changed? Can the RDT and LCAT change? How should they change to fit our narrative? How are hospitals, schools, and outpatient settings changing or embracing the narrative? Please join us to explore these questions, examine who we are as a diverse drama therapy community, and take part in writing the story of our future as creative arts therapists. Please watch your email inbox over the next few months for more information, as we will be sharing our call for proposals, workshop information, and other opportunities to be involved.
