Hi ,I am entering my second year in a post-grad program at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (IPE) affiliated with NYU Medical School. I cannot recommend a program more highly. The coursework has informed my practice and the supervision and personal therapy has been enlightening. It has added to my knowledge base positively affecting my work in many ways. Though I do not do psychodynamic work with my patients in a strict sense my understanding has been enhanced. I feel more informed whether I utilize creative expression, CBT, DBT, or supportive therapy, etc., I believe I am a better clinician. If you have any further questions please contact me.Mindy Atkin LCAT ATR-BCSent from my iPad

Hi all -Two inquiries:Group practice question:I spoke with an art therapist who said they were part of a group practice and because of that were eligible for some of the insurance reimbursement that the rest of us are not, I am wondering if anyone knows how group practice works, does it have to be an LLC, does the psychiatrist have to sign off, what is the overall criteria?Post grad training/workshops question?I am looking into additional training, perhaps post grad work and would be interested in feedback as to what programs and/or trainings people have attended that they have found particularly useful, I am thinking psychoanalytic, however if there is a program out there that is very multi-modal that would be of great interest. Please backchannel me with any thoughts and/or knowledge on either topic. Info on either of the above, is very much appreciated! Thanks, so much!

Hi all -

Two inquiries:

Group practice question:

I spoke with an art therapist who said they were part of a group practice and because of that were eligible for some of the insurance reimbursement that the rest of us are not, I am wondering if anyone knows how group practice works, does it have to be an LLC, does the psychiatrist have to sign off, what is the overall criteria?

Post grad training/workshops question?

I am looking into additional training, perhaps post grad work and would be interested in feedback as to what programs and/or trainings people have attended that they have found particularly useful, I am thinking psychoanalytic, however if there is a program out there that is very multi-modal that would be of great interest.

Please backchannel me with any thoughts and/or knowledge on either topic. Info on either of the above, is very much appreciated!

Thanks, so much!
