Guest guest
theres a reason that they ban student cell phones, more than a few students have captured teacher meltdowns. One, example being the one that made the news, where a teacher was striking a student who had fled to a corner, the teacher was crouched over the student fists raised. Another would be one of my own son's teachers being so inattentive to his classroom, a student was exposing himself, this was ignored by the teacher despite numerous students reporting this, and pleading with the teacher to intervene, they finally gave up and just moved out of "veiwing range", this teacher is still employed. My son has permission to skip the class, it's one benefit of being "autistic", the "normal" students have resorted to skipping it. I'm sure a proposal to place cameras in the classrooms would be met by Teachers union protests. For their own good, not our students Joyce To: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 9:42:26 AMSubject: Cameras in classrooms I am trying to find out if there are ANY cameras in classrooms in Texas public schools -- not just special education (self contained) classrooms, but general ed as well. This does NOT apply to cameras in public areas such as hallways and cafeterias. If you are aware of surveillance cameras being used in any type of public school classroom in Texas, please private message me and let me know what school district is doing it, and any other pertinent information. I need this to help families in our school district.Regards and thanks, fareastphillips@...
