Drama Therapist

POSITION AVAILABLE

Through

the use of drama therapy and creative expression in a therapeutic group

setting, Creative Alternatives of New York helps children and adults affected

by trauma expand their self concept, imagine new life possibilities and build

the social and emotional tools they need in order to live meaningful lives.

40 hours

per week

Duties

include:

Co-leading drama

therapy groups with a variety of populations affected by trauma and or

mental health challenges onsite at partner agencies across NY Metro areaAssist Program

Director and Program Manager in administrative tasks such as data

collection, scheduling and staff communicationAssist Training

director in administration of training programs

Qualifications:

LCAT, LCAT permit eligible, or RDT plus other NYS

mental health licensePrevious work

experience/knowledge of working with traumaProficient in Microsoft

Office Suite including ExcelAbility to

communicate clearly and accuratelyAbility to

co-lead and work in a community driven environmentBilingual/Spanish

a plusExperience with

outcomes evaluation and SPSS a plus
