Guest guest Report post Posted July 31, 2005 Hi Everyone, I am really worried. I know it is summer and it can be tougher to be in touch with doctors but as I make it through each day with each of my chronic pain troubles, I wish summer were over. Since it is not I keep writing on the yellow pads I use each problem as they occurr during the entire day. I keep hoping if I keep putting it down on paper I can relieve anxiety and frustration. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Thursday I left a message for my doctor hoping referral work was send to the specialist in IL I hope to see. I hope my doctor's office calls this week and lets me know how the paperwork is going. I'd like to know if the referral at least got taken care of and records sent. Tomorrow will be the start of the third month of my greatly increased chronic pain. I wish the storms that occurred in mid May and June hadn't happened but they did and I have and plod through the days since the storms. It is tough using my hands they hurt to do just about everything. My hands go off so easily with pain I am worried I won't be able to take an accounting class at my college beginning in late August. A co-worker's physical therapist sister suggested I do walking pool therapy. Most of it is floating and the rest is walking like a 95 year old woman and gently moving my joints in the warm water of a pool then floating again. I did this twice last week at a YMCA near me but could not go Friday and Saturday I was in way too much pain. Tomorrow I will resume this therapy then do this three other days in the week. The first day I did this physical therapy it was mixed results the second time I felt better for three hours before nose diving physically. I really want to give this a good shot and hopefully this will do be lots of good until I can see the specialist in IL. I may have to wait a long while so it would be good if the pool therapy works. The wait could be a long one. I've decided if I have to, I will not do a fall semester at my college and wait to resume until I am better physically. I'd rather this did not happen but I would make this choice if matters dictated that I should. Sincerely Christy

Guest guest Report post Posted September 14, 2005 Hi Christy, just noticed your July post about pool therapy. Even with " normal " health, new exercise makes one's muscles sore. With chronic pain patients, we know soreness equals pure old pain. It might be worth your while to start out slowly by only going 3 times a week for 30 minutes with days in between for the body to recuperate; then slowly building up the time/days. Exercise makes the brain release endorphins which help with pain. Bless your heart, hope you are doing better! Lea S.

Guest guest Report post Posted July 18, 2012 Dear Aparna, It seems that the mail to your mail id is bouncing. As you do get MGIMS mails, I am sure you will see this one. (Or if someone could phone her and inform her) The way to go is to log in and go to edit my membership. Your mail id is probably on the bouncing list. You will need to reset that. Then when you get a test message from Yahoogroups, just reply to it and you are all set. Ravin tells me that he has checked your membership. Quote: Dear Kishore, I have checked an reset her membership settings. I have also written to her from within yahoogroups to add mgims to her address book, though I know that's going to make little difference (sometimes people mis-spell the address once and it remains in their auto-complete list).
