Guest guest
I had to share this. We are putting insulation in the attic of the house where Adam and his mom live. The ladder was leading up to the attic and I was standing up there talking to while he was working. Adam was trying to get onto the ladder with no luck - mom was holding him back. All of a sudden he said " Mama, I wanna go in there. " That is the biggest sentence he ever said. I guess if you want something bad enough, you can find the words. Needless to say, I let him climb the ladder with me to look up in the attic. He thought that was really cool. By the way, Adam's picture has been posted for over a week as child of the month on our website and no one has emailed to say how absolutely adoreable he is. ;-) Except Kristy - thank you. Donna - gram to Adam 5 mds and the girls
Guest guest
This might sound very dumb of me but I did not even know we had a child of the month. Is it the mds web site or the imdsa web site. I am sorry this is all pretty new to me. I check the e-mails but I rarely go to the website, sorry. I will start having to look more often. Guest guest
It's imdsa.com. I was just kidding. You don't have to be sorry. I don't go to the website very often myself, even though I should. Donna Sue wrote: This might sound very dumb of me but I did not even know we had a child of the month. Guest guest
Donna That is so wonderful!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Adam!!!!!! Knowing how much he has struggled with words I know what a huge victory this is! I wonder if using Communicating Partners is the reason for his increase in speech?? I am so thrilled he said all that!!!!!!! Give him a huge hug from me!! Kristy Donna Spudic wrote: I had to share this. We are putting insulation in the attic of the house where Adam and his mom live. Guest guest
WAY to GO Adam!!!! We are so happy for that little guy - pretty soon he will be telling grandma what to do, you just wait! I am sure you are absolutely thrilled. It is just amazing how it all comes in time. Adam I must brag!! Adam is going potty and staying dry. He has discovered how much he likes going standing up and now goes every time and at school too. Just out of the clear blue sky. Also, another whole sentence - " I want a sandwich please " and when his mom made it he actually ate it. At his cousin Mia's first birthday party last Saturday, he actually sat at the little table with the other kids and at lasagna and garlic bread. He has never done that before. He is usually running around while the other kids eat. We were all very surprised - pleasantly. He has now taken to calling his mom Auntie like Skylar (his cousin) does. By the way - It is SNOWING in Northwest Indiana. We are looking for 5 or 6 inches by morning.
