Guest guest
Hello Creative Arts Therapists! As creative arts therapists we have an urgent matter to turn our focus towards. The OMH (Office of Mental Health) is seeking to pass what is called the PERMANENT EXEMPTION law. If this law is passed it could possibly: · Allow bachelors level and unlicensed " clinicians " to work in hospitals in place of licensed and fairly compensated professionals · Decrease the jobs available to us as licensed professionals · Decrease our salaries dramatically To combat this we need to come together as CATs and raise our voice! It is time to be more visible and have our profession get the respect it deserves! We need to move our license in the direction we want! Come join us at the next NADT Tri-State Chapter meeting to discuss this law and its possible effects and brainstorm how we can ADVOCATE for our community and profession. March 19, 2012, 7:00pm 353 Studios @ 353 West 48th Street Between 8th and 9th Avenues Studio B - Basement Buzz the second floor Please RSVP at tristatechapter@... We hope to see you there! Sincerely, Geisert on behalf of the NADT Tri-State Chapter Board Corresponding Secretary
