Guest guest
I just went through looking for a pediatric neurologist in Houston and found Tim to be somewhat open to biomed as well as being a wonderfully personable and very knowledgeable BUT (and this is a huge but), it is almost impossible to get in to see him. His focus is only seizures, so that would have to be a concern to even get to see him. He is booked solidly 3 – 4 months in advance—even for patients who are not new. So if you have to reschedule an appointment for ANY reason, there are only dates available 3 months out. I have personally found the UT Memorial system to unfriendly to families (the nurses don’t return calls, the offices don’t communicate well between department, electronic test records don’t get transferred) that it’s almost not even worth it to fight through to get to the physician. I’ve been taken my son to Dr. Lance (Dr. Kendall ’s partner in Austin at neurosensory center). There is quite a lot of neurology involved in the ENT training. . . .and they are both open to looking at mito issues. I highly recommend them and have found the clinic to be very well run and the nurses are very responsive. I’ve heard that Dr. Frye got his AR license, but there seems to be a snafu with the hospital granting him privileges to practice there. Hope this helps. S. > > My son has been a patient of Dr Frye's and since his move to Arkansas Childrens Hospital last fall we have not been able to get an appointment with him. The appointment line has us on the list, but keeps telling me when I call that his schedule is not set to take appointments at this time. > > Has anyone else had this same struggle to set an appointment with Dr Frye? > > We are happy with Dr Frye, but we need follow-up visits. We've been on the medications Dr Frye prescribed and are seeing results, but have not been to see Dr Frye since last September before his departure. Can anyone recommend another good pediatric neurologist in the Houston area that would be open to Dr Frye's methods and is Biomed friendly? > >
