Guest guest Posted May 3, 2012 Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 The First United Methodist Church in Arlington http://www.arlingtonmethodist.org/ offers the following for special-needs kids and teens: Shining Stars - A safe, fun Sunday School class for those with special needs, ages 3-12. Held weekly 11 am - noon in room 102. Amazing Grace - Welcomes teenagers and adults with special needs each Sunday from 9:30-10:30 am in room 153. Hands & Feet - A small group Bible study for special needs youth and adults that meet along with the other student ministries groups on Sunday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Underground. First Fridays - A program to provide an evening of respite for parents of special needs children once a month. A team of volunteers provide childcare the first Friday evening of the month while parents enjoy a night out. Siblings are welcome and there is no charge. Special Needs Vacation Bible School - A night-time event during the summer for children who cannot attend our daytime VBS. Children have a 1:1 caregiver and they rotate through different activities including music, art, story time and games. For more information or to volunteer, call .
