There is still room for a few more participants in this exciting workshop! Register today!

Create-Well is a Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary creative arts therapy practice committed to bringing community members together through the meaningful and healing use of the expressive arts.  The mission of Create-Well is to identify, nourish and restore pockets of resilience and connections in our community. Our first series of workshops are focused on bringing wellness back to those who provide it.

Dance on Canvas: Grounding Movement and Restorative Art Making for Burn-out

Saturday May 19th 8:00-9:45PM

Triskelian Arts, 118 North 11th st., 3rd Floor Between Berry and Wythe

burg Brooklyn

L train to Bedford ave

In a city where we work hard and burn-out, it is necessary to develop practices that allow release while promoting sustainability.  We spend so much time tolerating anger, stress and frustration from our co-workers, clients/customers and fellow subway riders, we sometimes lose track of our natural sense of self. Co-facilitated by both an Art and Dance/Movement therapist, “Dance on Canvas” is a workshop where we take back our body through a multi-disciplinary combination of, invigorating movement, restorative yoga and reflective art making, used in combination to empty out the “yuck” and restore us to our most awesome self, so we can be amazing neighbors, friends, coworkers, etc.

Please come in clothes you can move in.  All art materials are provided.  Students welcome. Get your exercise and mental health care needs met in one fabulous evening. Stay and join us for a beverage in the neighborhood afterwards if you'd like!

$25 by cash or cheque at the door.  Please RSVP to reserve a spot or forward any questions to kerrycreates@...

Facilitated by Kelley Linhardt, MA LCAT ATR-BC       and    Kerry Ellis, MS, LCAT R-DMT RYT
