THE SOLDIERS PROJECT NEEDS YOU!The troops are coming home. There will be 10,000 on Long Island by the end of the year.Of those who have returned home, many face issues related to:Dealing with the emotional responses resulting from the combat experienceIntegrating back into civilian lifeRetaining jobs and staying in schoolFamily stressThe Soldiers Project is a private, non-profit group of volunteer licensed psychiatrists,psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, and marriage and family therapists that wasestablished to provide FREE, confidential counseling to military personnel who have served in Iraqand Afghanistan and their loved ones. We operate on a private practice model, with free counselingsessions offered in private offices, no red tape, a flexible schedule and no limit to the

number of sessions.WE ARE IN NEED OF THERAPISTS, especially in Suffolk County, to work withadults and children from military families. Be assured that, as an experienced therapist, you canparticipate in our mission. We provide free seminars to familiarize you with the specific issues andneeds of military families. Peer supervision and individual consultation are also available.
