Guest guest
Mixed media paper, Bristol board or heavy weight watercolor and most have student grade by strathmore and other less expensive brands; check out s, Blick, catalogs: Triarco and Nasco, Sax, Pearl, Jerry's Artarama. All have large sections on paper check the weight, description and price I'm sure you will find a dozen to choose from. Good luck. Fox MA, ATR-BC, LCATLicensed Creative Arts Therapist Hi,I'm looking for a thicker, high quality paper for a variety ofpainting projects and otherwise, but I'm not sure what to look for orwhat to order that is still reasonably priced. I'll be buying it inbulk for my facility which will certainly help cost. If anyone couldguide me as to what to look for, I'd appreciate it.nne-- *nne , MPS, ATR-BC, LCATLicensed Registered and Board Certified Creative Arts Therapist**www.explorativepsychotherapy.com*<http://www.explorativepsychotherapy.com/>***Tel *
Guest guest
Hi nne,Here is what I used to do whenI had to have good paper in large quantity for making children's books.I would go to the New York Central Art Supply store. They have a fantastic paper department. I'd look through, not all but as many as I could, papers that they have in the store and could be accessed. I'd take notes of those that seemed like something I'd like to use, and of course of the prices. I'd ask them for small samples of these chosen papers. They used to have small samples of everything that they had in the store, and most probably still have. They would give those to me and with these samples and the prices that I collected before, I would sit somewhere and try them all with the techniques that I wanted to use. I'd usually end up with a most favorite one and with a few "second place" samples, and I'd decide byhow much I liked the paper and how much is the cost.Love,Giora Hi, I'm looking for a thicker, high quality paper for a variety of painting projects and otherwise, but I'm not sure what to look for or what to order that is still reasonably priced. Guest guest
Hi nne: I especially like Strathmore Windpower smooth Bristol, but is also comes in textured which I think would be better for paint. It comes in pads in several sizes and can be purchased at 's, Dick Blicks, etc. St ________________________________ From: NYCCAT on behalf of nne Sent: Fri 4/6/2012 8:46 AM To: NYCCATegroups Subject: Art Paper Hi, I'm looking for a thicker, high quality paper for a variety of painting projects and otherwise, but I'm not sure what to look for or what to order that is still reasonably priced.
