Hello All,

My name is and I was hoping someone would be willing to shed some light on

how they got there foot in the door here in New York with Art Therapy

employment. I graduated with my Masters in Art Therapy last May from a college

in CT, as well as credentials for LPC because CT does not have licensing for AT.

I have been non stop applying for work in NY basically since graduation with no

luck. I have applied for art therapy, counseling, rec therapy, activity therapy,

case management etc... I basically just want to get my foot in the door. I have

even offered to volunteer at many places so that I can keep my experience

current. I look forward to any feedback or thoughts! Thank you so much and so

glad to be part of this group.

one last thing... I do know about NY state licensing requirements i.e. limited

permit and license etc... I intend to get my LCAT and LMHC to cover all bases.
