Guest guest
Has anyone here ever tried holistic approaches to asthma? Like acupuncture or yoga etc.. for examples? If so, did it work? Guest guest
I can vouch for water and pulmonary therapy. My asthma doc is really pushing me to try yoga. He said the stretching, relaxation, and breathing techniques involved are terrific for asthmatics. I am looking into a program at my local Y. If I am accepted for the financial assistance I will start it. I'll let you know. If you try it before me let me know. Heck maybe we can even get the added benefit of "buns of steel". Guest guest
Hmm... 2 months ago a doctor where I work convince me to try a technique called NAET to treat my asthma. He tried to help me trough " neural therapy " but it did all the contrary, I got worse. With NAET all trough I have been receiving it just for 2 months (one visit per week), I am feeling much much better!!. Is non invasive, and it is very relaxing!!. I have been feeling better of my ashtma. Like I told you before, I am experiencing hard economic problems right now, and to be honest, I haven't been able to buy my ELOVENT Twisthaler (mometasone) that was keeping my asthma in excellent condition since February. So I have been experiences a lot of short of breath due to this; most of all in this past months because we had a very weird weather condition (cold days mixed with hot days). And before NAET I was using my salbutamol even for more then 6 times a day. After the first session, I end up using it 2 times a day!!. I was surprised by the change!!. I don't know if you know, but I was VERY VERY allergic to grass, any kind! and very much. I had to use mask every day because the bus i take to work take this road where there is a beautiful grass aside it. Well even traveling inside the bus was enough to trigger me an asthma attack, and when they cut the grass, OMG! it was like fatal. it instantly start a huge asthma attack almost like when a person allergic to bees have a bee sting, like that. I feel like my lungs stop working, and is horrible, horrible. Well, Besides grass, I also have this kind of reaction with cigar smoke and bleach smell. The last week, after he my the treatment for the " basics " than he starts with my known allergies, so he did the " grass allergy fixation " (as he named it). So, believe me or not, that afternoon I return home without using the mask!!!.. I really couldn't believe it. All this week I have been mask free until today, because I smell " trimmed grass " and the reaction was just a little bit of stuffed nose and that was it. Still, the doctor told me he will repeat the grass fixation. As up for now, I am really experiencing excellent results, and if you want, I will keep you up to date. The doctor is just in the beginners level of this technique, he just need money to keep studying to became an advance naet doctor.. so imagine! what an advance naet doctor could do... Well, this is so far my personal experience. ;)and this is the NAET webpage in case you want to check it up. http://www.naet.com/ God Bless you!!Ishia Has anyone here ever tried holistic approaches to asthma? Some of them have programs that supply meds at low or no cost if people can't afford them.
