Hi Pat,

My name is Pamela and I live in Australia. In June last year I visited

Illinois, my husbands family lives there. It was my first time to the US and

it was very exciting. My baby was just 4 weeks old and I had my 1 1/2 year

old too.

I only found out a few weeks ago that I was hyper. Since then I have had Rai

and I am already noticing changes in me. My husband actually said he could

feel it when we were in the car together going home. He wound the window

down just in case. It is not supposed to affect adults though. All I did was

go to the hospital, of course after I had C.T scan, and take a capsule and

then I was sent home.

I can't wait to talk with you more.

Hi Bev,

Nice to meet you.

Do I see that you are from the uk or is that just the service provider? I

live in Australia.

Since the condition you have is very rare isn't it even more rare that you

and your fiancé have the same one. Very interesting.

Anyway it was nice to meet you.

HI Pam

We are not that far forward on our wedding plans but it is not a

problem. We are only having a small wedding. I have my dress now

so that is something. We are going on holiday to Spain on 1st May

for 2 weeks but when we get back we plan on getting the wedding

sorted out once and for all.

We will go all out to get the rings, plan the reception, sort out

the invites etc. As I say it will only be a small wedding so it

will soon be sorted out. The biggest thing we have to sort out is

the honeymoon to Canada. When we come back from Spain we will book

our flights and look for accommodation near Niagra Falls too so we

can visit that as well as our friends that live there.

Thanks for asking.

How are you doing? Good I hope. I have been suffering with extreme

tiredness and also headaches which are a real problem for me. I

started on beta blockers the other day but the headaches remain a

problem. Hopefully they will be a thing of the past soon. Fingers

crossed!

Take care

Do you get the flu shot? Dr said that I should think of getting it this year. Whats your take.

Thank you so much for listening to a strangers babble.

Your picture and quote at the end of your email is beautiful.

Peace to you and your family

I'm sorry for the loss of your husband. Of course you need to vent. Feel free anytime.

I havent had the flu shot in two years. Not by choice, but because, due to my bronchiectasis and never ending infections, one after the other for the past two years, I havent been infection free long enough to get it.

This year I'm hopeful. I've been infection free since May and knocking some hard wood !

I'm due for my flu shot and pneumonovac come my visit in Oct..here's hoping.

I don't exercise at all anymore.

I've progressed to the point it hurts to breathe..I gasp for air..

so I sit here.

I make myself get up to get a bath. I do the dishes, sitting on a stoole. I do little chores around the house. I've found myself in a mobilized cart now to do my grocery shopping.About three weeks ago I was excited that I could walk to the pet section adn get dog food..to the car and actually carry my bag into the house.

One brief moment all summer. I don't know what I did right that day but it sure felt good to go on my own speed.

Anyway..hang in there..dont stop..I keep telling myself I've gotta get up and try to walk..but it's such an effort and it just hurts.

Hi Sandi........I am a female 55, from New York State. Thirty years ago my husband and I lived in Laurel MD for about a year. First of all thank you so much for getting back to me with the input. Its strange my husband was sick for the last seven years, the last three he was on dialysis and the stress for not only him but myself was horrific. The doctors said that the bronchitis was a result of all the stress. He died two weeks ago.I am hoping that they will subside. You had said that you were underweight, until four years ago I was at a perfect weight, but these past years I have packed on twenty five pounds. I was very active hiking, biking, kayaking. Steve(my husband) and I had met young and been very active until about eight years ago when

his health started going down hill. OK OK I AM SO SORRY TO BURDEN YOU WITH THIS...........just seems to be something I do lately. The grief thing. I basically eat what you do. I supplement vegetable and fruit capsules with vegetables and fruits. I drink lots and lots of water. Is that a good idea? In the morning I eat about 1/4 cup of robotic yogurt with psalm, and all bran fiber. I try and walk an hour before work and and I am going to try and walk an hour after work..........we will see:) Like you I realize that the cold air in the winter is bad. AND I USE TO LOVE THE WINTER AND FALL. Now all I think about is bronchitis or the

flu. Do you get the flu shot? Dr said that I should think of getting it this year. Whats your take. Thank you so much for listening to a strangers babble. Your picture and quote at the end of your email is beautiful. Peace to you and your family Sunniesback55@... wrote: Do any of you here have any on advice on a few things. First my doctor says that I have gotten four or so bouts of bronchitis these past two years due to the illness and subsequent death of my husband. That said can anyone tell me a few things. Like what foods should you avoid. What foods should you load up on. What enviroment have some of you in here found more detremental to your bronchitis. I live in the USA in NY state and have been wondering if perhaps I should move to a different climate. I mean they say that cold, windy and damp is not good for bronchitis. So is warm and dry the best? Are taking vitamin supplements a good thing or doesnt it really matter? And last, is the flu shot really a good idea?Peace all and thank you Hi..I'm Sandie..57 live in MD Stress will do a number on us for sure. Try to find time for yourself..time to just relax and ' breathe ' a little. Eat light meals. Because of my illness, i'm underweight. My nutritionist suggested I eat several small light meals. Easy on the carbs..we dont want to bloat our diaphram..that makes breathing more difficult. Fruits and veggies are good for us.And let's not forget our fiber..we get this also thru grains fruits and veggies. Vitamin supplements are always good for us..esp if you're not eating well, but eating a healthy balanced diet is always best. My dr suggests I supplement with Bcomplex, C and E..get my calcium. I try to drink juices..but I can't drink milk. I eat plenty of yogurt, it's good for the digestive system and very good for replacing the good flora our meds deplete from our intestinal tract. This is simple advice, but I hope it helps Sandie I live in hot steamy humid MD. Weather DEFINITELY has an impact on our breathing ..I can't wait for the colder milder less humid temps. I'm in no position to move from MD..I just stay indoors on really humid days. At this point, as humid as it's been I'm ready for colder weather. Protect your lungs w/a scarf over your mouth during those times you have to venture outdoor..breathe your own warm air. Sandie One more question? Did you ever think of taking Yoga classes. They have ones geared toward disabled people. I know my husband loved his standing movements. Hi Ron - here's hoping the tests come back and it's not PD but just

stess related... Maybe some decent rest was all that was needed. How's

your mom doing now? Sorry it's taken so long for my response - I tend

to start from bottom, up and time runs out before I get to all the

posts... Take care.

>

> I just wanted to let you all know that Ive slept and although mom is

about the same, I am refueled and doing fine and ready to face the test

Thursday and whatever life has in store.I cant say how much you all

mean to me.Many of you are neck deep in life and in caregiving, and to

go out of your way to reach out just shows what wonderful caring souls

are here. Please know that Im okay and I am going to keep on keeping

on.I am considering getting the ball rolling on more help now, I know

Ive said it before but Its tough for me to bring a stranger in with

mom.But I do know I cant go it alone.Heartfelt best wishes to all of

you.   Ron
