An examination of unpreferred and unpleasant material brought up in group

therapy with adolescents in inpatient settings -- and an exploration of our

responses as therapists, and the responses of our institutions and clients.

Though and I are both drama therapists working in inpatient psychiatry,

the ideas we explore can resonate with all therapists dealing with difficult

topics/images/language that come up in groups and ways we can address and use

them in the work.
