Guest guest
I live in McKinney, Texas and have a scheduled appointment with Dr Gutsmann in , Texas. If anyone on this email list has experience with this doctor, I would very much appreciate any feed back, both positive and negative. I am looking for a doctor who has experience in diagnosing and treating patients with thyroid and adrenal problems. Thanks, Sam
Guest guest
Sam, I have seen Dr. Gutsmann for over 2 years now. I started seeing her in January 2010. I have had good results with her for my thyroid. I make sure that I always get copies of my labs so that I can follow my progress. She doesn't treat by TSH. But does tend to treat conservatively on Free T3 and Free T4. I am always asking for a dose increase. She generally listens and that's why I would say I've had good results. She has not turned down a dose increase request from me yet. I am doing a 24 hour saliva adrenal test today. Dr. Gutsmann treats adrenal issues with supplements. Which might work in someone with barely off adrenals. I don't have much faith it would help if someone had adrenal fatigue. I have (in the past) used other bioidentical hormones with her... She does listen... Good Luck.

Guest guest
I have seen Dr. Gutsman twice, so far. She is a wonderful listener, and really seems to know her stuff. She didn't freak out over my last set of labs that showed a very suppressed TSH. She does take insurance, but not mine. LOL However, I sitll continue to see her, because she is doing more for me than my " lab obsessed " doctor. She ordered blood work for Sex Hormones, CBC, and thyroid labs. Based on the results of the sex hormones, I was post-menopausal and given a prescription for some compounded creams. This was after a discussion about family history of breast cancer, etc. She listened, and we addressed my concerns. She spent about an hour with me each time. The cost of the appointment was $150 each time. The lab draws cost $287. I drive 45 miles each way to see her. I have a follow-up in two months. I hope this helps, > > > > Sam, > > > > I have seen Dr. Gutsmann for over 2 years now. I started seeing her in January 2010. > > > > I have had good results with her for my thyroid.
