Guest guest
Any recommendations/experiences with a Pediatrician, Dentist, & /or other physicians who are open to Biomedical Approaches & treatments & who is sensitive to the needs of a child with Autism/ Sensory processing Disorder/ADHD in the Plano or surrounding area? ( & we can get in to see relatively quickly). Tall order but was hoping some of you can give recommendations... Dolly
Guest guest
I have heard some good things about Dr. Bane, but she is in Frisco, I think. Dr. Rao is in Plano. He is an allergist/Immunologist and is also a DAN physician. I do like Dr. Rao, but I have not always agreed with him, but when we need to see someone who understands biomed, that is who we go to. The main thing I like about Dr. Rao is he does not treat the parent like they know nothing. He respects parents who have studied, and he listens to their ideas. For Dental, we use the Dental Clinic at Children's Medical Center in Dallas (which is actually in the Chase Bank building on Harry Hines , north of Inwood, I think). I don't think they have a clue about biomed, but they have never given us any problem regarding adhering to our wishes such as no amalgam and no fluoride. this clinic works with special needs children and they also accept Medicaid and they are a Grottos provider, so if your child is not on Grottos for dental, you can get them on provided you show them your child's diagnosis. Grottos will cover anything dental (not orthodontics) that insurance or Medicaid doesn't cover until the child is eighteen.
