Guest guest
> > Dear everyone. > Yesterday I was presented with this question from one of my interns: are there any unions for music therapists? When you get hired as a music therapist in a non union job can you then join a union to feel more secure in your job? I know that recreation therapists can get unionized jobs but is that also possible for music therapists? And if then which union does the music therapist join? I myself come from a strongly unionized country where everyone is in a union but that does not seem to be the case here n USA. Is anyone out there in a union job for a music therapist? If then please write to me so I can spread the information to my upcoming music therapy candidates from NYU and from my interns at work. And I thank everyone for this wonderful list serve. Great communication tool. Benedikte Scheiby > > Sent from my iPad > >
Guest guest
Hello,I believe that all the creative arts therapists that work at HHC (Health & Hospitals Corporation) are unionized. Â They have the option to join DC37 local 768. Â All of the public " city hospitals " in New York City are part of HHC (Bellevue, Metropolitan, Woodhull, King's County, North Central Bronx, Elmhurst, etc, etc). -
