NJATA 2011 Membership Meeting

Creative Approaches and Programs for Children and Adolescents on the Autism

Spectrum , Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011

At JFK School, 311 South 10th Street. Newark, New Jersey 07103. Convenient to

the South Orange NJ Transit Train Station, and the Garden State Pkwy and Route

280.

The Program for the day includes:

Continental Breakfast 8:30-9:00 am

Morning NJATA membership meeting, where we will be holding elections for our new

slate of board members for 2012-2014 from 9-10 am

Break 10:00-10:10 am

Morning panel discussion with experts on working with children on the

Autism/Aspergers spectrum from 10:10-11:45 am

Lunch (provided) 12:00 pm -1:00 pm

Afternoon breakout sessions on various topics involving working with children

and adolescents on the autism spectrum. 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Evaluations, CEC form distribution, Wrap-Up 2::00-2:30 pm

2.5 CEC's are approved from AATA, approval # 11-06. Parking will be provided.

sessions are listed below:

Information to Children and Teens with Aspergers, High Functioning Autism and

PDD-NOS".

Pamela Ullmann, ATR-BC, LCAT, CCLS and Allegra Themmen, MA, MT-BC, LPC: "Using

Creativity in The Heartsong Program with Children on the Spectrum"

, RDT/BCT, LCAT and Rita Klachkin, ATR-BC, LPC, LCAT: "Use of

Masks and Role Play with Youth on the Autism Spectrum".

Dana Whiddon, ATR-BC, LCAT: "The Creative Process with Two Children on the

Autism Spectrum: A Case Study".

Free for NJATA members, both students and professionals.
