Yoga For The Mind = The Work

's prayer (if she had a prayer) came to me in meditation this

morning, " God, spare me from the desire for love, approval or

appreciation, Amen " . It was as if I received a deeper understanding

of the meaning of this statement. I have been in awe of the wisdom

of this quote for the past eight years and now I feel it a little

deeper.

From this thought, there appeared an idea that The Work is Yoga for

the Mind. The 4 Questions are to me like Yoga postures that create

flexibility in our thinking patterns. They allow our mind to bend in

ways that it is not used to bending. From this came awareness that

the Turn Around is like some of the more advanced Yoga postures.

When I have observed people performing these advanced postures, it

looks like they are bending in ways that the body was not designed to

bend. This is what occurs for me during the Turn Around. My

thinking goes in directions that I had never previously considered

possible.

And on and on the thinking goes on.

Hi Steve, I'm laughing here. That's exactly the way i " explain " the

work to people which are interested. Funny, though!

Love, Rose

Yeah Steve I can dig it .... but for me the Work is more like a game

of Doom or Quake (1st person shooter where you blow everything to

pieces). Questions 1. to 4. soften up the target (stressful belief)

and TA (turn around) blows it to bits. Just love it when says

to someone doing the Work that he/she is " blowing their own mind " .

Have a gorgeous day :)

For me the work is more like strip poker:

You get to take off what comes between you

And the " naked truth "

If you know what I mean???

In my experience,

Yoga is the Yoga for the Mind [and the Body]!

[and, mind and body are NOT that different!]

In my experience,

Yoga [pranayamas = breathing excercise in particular]

makes the Mind Strong!

In my experience,

Only a Strong Mind can be Steady!

In my experience,

Only a Mind that can be 'steady' can

hold on to Peace!

Absent that,

" work " or anything else can become

a cyclic, repaeting and endless process

as same [and different] thoughts keep

coming over and over in spite of having

" worked " on them!

In my experience,

you either master your 'thinking'

or your thinking [and related emotions]

will try to 'control' you!

When thinking tries to 'control'

you it usually just repeats the

'habitual', 'conditioned' patterns

that are already set.

To break that 'set' 'pattern'

you need continued Awareness!

To sustain continued Awareness

you need Strength of Mind!

Well, that certainly has been

my Experience!

ac.
