Having it, not having it, worrying about getting it, saving it, losing it, fantasizing about it, sharing it, owing it - there are so many permutations of our relationship to money. There is no doubt that on this topic, emotions run both deep and high and yet we find few opportunities to authentically share the range of feelings and thoughts we have about the role and challenges it plays every day in our lives and those of our clients. This workshop will give participants an opportunity to explore the inner psychological meanings of what money has come to symbolize for us. What powerful messages have we carried about money from childhood? How has it influenced our self-view? Do we find ourselves in a parallel process with our clients who may also be struggling with distortions of self and other deeply troubling issues around how we value ourselves as money demands more and more of our rational daily lives in irrational ways? In this workshop, we will delve into this exploration through art making as well as the group context of meaningful conversation as we come face to face with the inner life money holds for us and try to put the demon in its place. Professionals: $100 Full-time Students: $50 To Register Email TherapeuticArtsAlliance@... or call *Please plan to arrive by 9:30am. We will begin promptly at 10:00am.
