Hi All: I encourage everyone to be sure they have a prescription plan. Even if you get meds through the Vets, be sure you'll be covered. Penalities are built into the system if you don't sign up by 5/15. Having said that, my understanding is if someone is at or below the poverty level, some leeway is planned. There are plans available for folks in the low income bracket. Forms are available -- just call any kind of senior center and I'm sure you'll be directed. If you had drug coverage through work, or pensions, you were to have received a letter by the end of 11/05 saying your prescription plan with the company is as good or better than Plan D. Just make sure you will be covered and protected. ---- One time each year the plan can be changed. --- Even if you can't think of a plan that will work for you (the research, waiting time, calls, computer time, etc. is AWFUL, in my opinion), you can just go to your local drug store and they will have some sort of plan. All the major drug stores, I believe, offer something.

Good luck to all of you regarding this fiasco!

Rita --- or perhaps 10/05

Rita; If you are on a fixed income, you can call or go online to the drug co. that make your meds. They ALL have some kind of assistance program. Anything is worth a shot if you need meds and can't afford them. Normally the drug co name is on your prescription bottle .Your drs office should give you information or samples if you ask. Now is not the time to be Too Proud. Everyone needs their meds if not the drs would not prescribe them for us. ipf7/05 Rita Eisenstat wrote: Hi All: I encourage everyone to be sure they have a prescription plan.
