Mine were all ceramic, in that clients created their artwork in glaze, and then the tiles were fired and compiled. I would suggest either relocating your project inside, if possible, or definitely selecting a different medium for creation than paper, etc. It will definitely decompensate quickly over time, even if sealed, which could be a part of the process; although it sounds like you are looking for this to be more permanent. I would recommend stone carvings for outdoors.
