We are soliciting resumes for a full-time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist

in Acute Inpatient Psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Come join our dynamic team of 13 Creative Arts Therapists in providing group

psychotherapy and group activities to our five inpatient psychiatric units. The

position we will be posting is a full-time, Tuesday through Saturday position

focused on our MICA/Dual-diagnosis Unit. We are looking for clinicians that are

flexible, inventive, and interested in exploring the specific challenges and

rewards of pursuing creative arts therapy work in an inpatient environment.

As there is already an art therapist and a dance/movement therapist covering

this unit we are particularly interested in recruiting a drama or music

therapist for this position. Experience with dual-diagnosis and substance-abuse

populations will play a significant factor in evaluating candidates. The

position also requires one `later' day in the schedule to provide evening

programming on the unit. Peer and individual clinical supervision provided

beyond state requirements; all applicants must either have their LCAT or be

eligible to apply for a limited permit at date of hire. Psychotherapists

working under another license (LMSW/LMHC) with certification from a national CAT

organization will also be considered.
