Guest guest
Hi Peggy. Thanks for your previous message. I wanted to answer you about the NAC question. It's N-acetyl cysteine (NAC). It is the rate- limiting nutrient for the formation of the intracellular antioxidant glutathione. For example, Tylenol causes its damage by depleting glutathione. If one keeps glutathione levels up the damage from the Tylenol can be prevented. Anyone taking Tylenol should also take NAC. I think with PF your glutathione is depleted. Hope that helps. I just bought my mom a bottle of the Twin Labs NAC at the local health food store. I told her to take 3 per day (600mg each capsule). My mom wants to leave for Mexico soon and get away from the bad winter weather here in New York. I'm very worried about the trip, the plane ride, her being so far away, and of course, I'm worried about the trip back. She thinks the trip is going to make her feel better, that she'll eat better, enjoy the nice weather, get her energy back. I don't think she understands that she needs to do something to fight the disease...it's not just going to get better that easily. I want her to take the Natur-Leaf and the NAC religiously. I don't want to be negative but how do I make her understand. Or is my approach wrong? Getting so sad and worried.
