Houston Autism Disability Network:"A Gathering of Friends" -- Thursday, April 7th, from 7-9pm at Graceview Baptist Church in Tomball, TX. Meetings are always free - and if you could rsvp to MGuppy@... that would be great!Dr. Randy & Holman, parents of an adult son with autism, will share their inspirational journey -- and will as well give an account of how they did NOT avoid a very unfortunate situation involving police officers not trained in recognizing autism, and in the court system that is even more ill-prepared to understand the complexities of autism. You will not want to miss their story. You MUST MUST MUST hear their

story if you are a parent of a child with autism and go out in public! The Holman's will also share briefly about biomedical intervention -- they have come so very far in natural treatments of their son's autism. I am sorry but there will not be childcare available for this meeting, but hopefully you can beg and plead someone to help you out so that you may join us for a night of Autism networking. If you are a parent new to the journey of Autism Spectrum Disorders, we invite you to come ask questions and get resource information! All area professionals and service providers are welcome to come and bring brochures, fliers, etc -- regarding resources and services for families! We will have Special Education Advocates on hand to answer your school related questions, as well as announcements about area opportunities for social skills classes, parenting classes, and summer

camps!April is National Autism Awareness Month:When Autism Awareness isn't so Cute:http://michellemguppy.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-autism-awareness-month-means-to-me.html Joyfully, M. Guppyhttp://www.facebook.com/MGuppy Join my "Life with Autism" blog: www.MGuppy.blogspot.com
