Prayers are headed your way Steve from Washington State! Hope you can break out soon. They are holding you hostage? What are their demands?

-------------- Original message -------------- Hey gang,Please keep me in your prayers, I am being held hostage in Banner Baywood hospital!! Wedsnday I went for a c.t. scan, half hour after I left the place I got a call to get my body to ER, they finally found out why I couldn't breathe when I walked or moved. I have for some reason a huge blood clot in my right lung and several smaller ones throughout the right and left lung. How and the heck they got there is a mystery, one that seems to take lots of blood samples aka I am a human pin cushion now!Great news, I will only be held hostage for 5 days on strict bed rest (torture in the highest). If the hospital food doesnt kill me, the padded cell will be the next stop. 5 days of laying in bed.....I will be bouncing off the padded walls before then. At least a friend of mine let me use his laptop to connect to the web. Now I have lots of time to do whatever I want, in bed of course.Hostage in Mesa,Steve

Most likely the demand will be to pay the hospital bill :-) I tried bribing the hired hands, no takers yet.... Stevezimmytoo@... wrote: Prayers are headed your way Steve from Washington State! Oh, Steve, I am so sorry that you are so ill. Sounds like your spirt is doing well. Your sense of humor is surviving. Obey orders, be patient and get well. You are in my prayers. Please keep in touch with us.

Joyce, Thank you for your prayers! Hopefully ONLY 3 more days of exciting bedrest. Still planning for the great escape if they want to hold me longer though! ;-) Steve janne5303 wrote: Oh, Steve, I am so sorry that you are so ill. Sounds like your spirt is doing well. Which hospital is that??? So far today I have a male nurse who is uglier than me, and the aid, she has more hair on her face than I do, and I haven't shaved for two days! sarleno@... wrote: Steve, Five days in the hospital being catered to by all those pretty nurses?......You lucky dog, you. Arlen

Hey Steve how did today go? Are you breathing any better? Any cause found out? It's probably a good thing you have hairy nurses. It appears that you really don't want to stay in bed. And about the hospital bill-it is a king's ransom. My husband's hospital stay was nearly 1800.00 a day! But oh well, such is life!

Poor Baby! What hospital are you in....what is the address? I'd like to send you a card to cheer you up. Can you send us the info? I think others would like to do that, too....it isn't fun being in the hospital...but maybe we can make you smile when you get some cards in the mail!!!

Hi Diane, How thoughtful but I am hoping to escape one way or another by Monday, but you can e-mail a card to me at no1dur@... It will take several months for the blood clots to dissolve out of my lungs, but I may be able to ride my bike again! Look out! Thanks Steve dianequinlan@... wrote: Poor Baby! when i saw this I knew I had to answer. I went into the hosp about 5 weeks ago and the drs thought i had caught a bronchial infection. after a contrasting cat scan, they discovered clots in both lungs. neeedless to say that was a weeks stay in the hosp which i hadnt planned.

then yesterday i had horrible chest pains, rapid heart rate and clammy hands. the tests reveled no clots thank ghoodness, but the dr says as the fibrosis progresses this will be expected. OH JOY !!

so today im bummed, tired of tests, pills and drs. the one thing that keeps me going is my 8 month old grandson who smiles when he sees me.

I too also feel guilty for all the things I cant do and hubby has to. He says he doesn't mind but i feel like im being a burden. I just want to say its my problem not yours ill deal with it.. but i dont i just sit and cry.

thanks for being here and sorry for venting. but its good to know other people share some of what we have

Isabel,

I have seven grandkids and those little faces (some big faces now) have kept me going. I have three 2 years olds. It is wild at my house sometimes. They are screaming and running, chasing each other. These times are when I am happiest. God knows just what we need.

Enjoy your sweet baby.

I believe it is perfectly normal to grieve at the loss of our old selves. It is so difficult to loose our strength and our independance. But, the Apostle said, "when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Cor. 12:19)

Isabel, you are showing your strength by seeking to support others, even when you are so sick. You are showing your humanity by admitting that you are weak. I understand your needs and so do we all. You are among friends.

Love and hugs coming your way,

Joyce>> when i saw this I knew I had to answer.
