(DRI) Dear , As we discussed on the phone yesterday, here is some information regarding our summer camps. I will also send you some information by mail after obtaining your address. Thank you so much for sharing our information with your parents. I do want to inform you that our current camp (June 17 - 22) is filled. I had thought yesterday that we had vacancies, but we do not. We will be hosting another summer camp later this summer but we have not determined that date as yet. Our summer camps include vocational and day activities. In our vocational program, the DRI residents and campers participate in making products such as salsa, pickled jalapenos, barbeque sauce, as well as chocolates and many other items. We fold aprons for a local uniform company every morning. Then, in our activity center, the folks are offered a variety of activities throughout the day. In our gym, we play volleyball, basketball, exercise, and utilize the gym equipment. In our library, we view learning videos about various countries and states, and we read books and learn at computers. Also during camp, we play games, such as baseball, croquet, ping pong, foosball, Wii games, and many others. We will also have horses which we can pet, a 50's dance, and picnic.
