My Experience~ Fibro and kids?

Hello,

My daughter showed signs at a very early age. About 6 or 7. She would have

the cronic fatiue bad and could only play for short periods then she would lay

down and fall asleep. She complained of aches and pains all the time. The Doctor

said GROWING PAINS! Well now Growing Pains in children are better known as

beginning fibro!

Love & God Bless!

i feel like im popping in on this a bit late, but i juststarted

reading the thread. the comment about the " growing pains " just

caught me off guard. for as long as i could remember i would only

play for a bit before id get tired and extrememly sore muscles when

i was a kid. and my mom, as well, always told me i had growing

pains. considering how often i had those, i would htink i would be

a lot taller, lol. but if any of you could help it would be great;

what were some of the other signs your kids showed that made you

think they had fibro so young?

thanks ahead of time.

Hi Kendra,

Interesting thought about growing pains. I remember something from

childhood... my mom used to say that she always knew that I was tired

and needed sleep because my knees and legs hurt. Very interesting. I

wonder if that was growing pains or early signs of Fibromyalgia

tendencies. Something to think about more and maybe ask my doctor.

hugs,

My daughter has been showing signs for the last 2 years, mostly in her

back. She's had MRI's and all kinds of tests that show there's nothing wrong.

Last night I was talking to my oldest son, and he said he had an extra TENS

unit he was going to give to me. I didn't have any idea he had fibro, but

we talked about it for a long time.

I don't know if my middle child has any signs of it, he's one of those

stoic men who wouldn't tell you if he was hurting or not.
