Guest guest
.... my FRIENDS are OK but, my church ....! Last week, a VOLUNTEER said she'd take me around last Thursday (along with my daughter) so I could pay bills and run a few errands as I hadn't been released to drive yet ... he's since done so. Wed night, the volunteer called and said she couldn't do it because of the church's " insurance " . Fortunately, a 100% disabled vet friend was able to do so and, our mortgage, car payment etc. got paid for this month. He also called this morning about taking my daughter to GS camp where she'll be a PA for the second year in a row. I'm picking him up so, he'll know the way but, he'll pick her up and take her home as I have a dr. appointment. Any suggestions as to HOW big a piece of my mind I ought to give the pastoral assistant??? Pissed-Off Phred ---- Original Message ---- From: joycedalton29@... Guest guest
Dear PO'd Phred, Had to respond to this one. You can trust those 100% disabled vets, they are the best and they know what you are going through. Too bad that human personalities had to appear from a church. You would think that compassion for their 'fellow man' would prevail, but sometimes the personality comes through instead of the love of the Lord. Regarding my own personal status; I'm doing much better now and staying busy with Joan's affairs and trying to run a home by myself now. I truly get a big bunch of support from you wonderful people. God Bless. Bob in Utah 100% myself, but I don't drive Fred!

Guest guest
Hi Joyce, You wrote; " 85% blockage of the right coronary artery...(I never have had a symptom). " First off , I want to put a "STAR" by the name of the Cardiac surgeon who found that blockage and thank you God ,for keeping you with us for what ever time SHE decide to remain here (not some one elses time frame) Welcome home Joyce. You were missed. Mesothelial Hyperplasia is a benign (sp) form of asbestosis. I was in the trades for close to 12 years, during the 70's & 80. I was a quartz fuser/blower for the micro electronic industry. My workbench was made of asbestos board, I used a kind of masking tape that was made with asbestos. The ovens I used to anneal the quartz work I made every day were lined with bricks made of asbestos. I didnt really understand how toxic the job was until it was to late. The DX was really a "no brainer", I've been telling them thats what is is for years. It is a complicated disease to DX though. And yo are so right so right, the info on the web about the disease is just mindnumbing. One note of positivty I've been able to access (I think) is that even though it may be a precurser to malignant mesothelioma, it has been caught at a very early stage. While my mesothelial cells have become abnormal, there still may be a way to stay on top of the changes well enough to zap any malignant cells that do decide to show up. All of this is in addition to the PF!!! BOOP? BOOP is Bronchiolitis Olibterans Organizing Pneumonia. BOOP is inflammation in the lungs. Bronchiolitis is inflammation of the very small airways called the bronchioles, less than one millimeter in diameter. There are over 200,000 of these airways. Obliterans means that the inflammation in these small airways completely fills the bronchioles and obliterates the opening of the airway with inflammation. Organizing is a term used to describe the pattern of the inflammation cells. Pneumonia means that the lung is filled with inflammation, where the blood takes up oxygen. The rounded structures where this occurs are called alveoli. There are millions of them. If unfolded, they create an area the size of a tennis court. (WOW!!) http://www.epler.com/BoopWhat'sBoopDiseaseInformation.htm I'm glad your back home Joyce, very happy about your good news and so sorry you've had to go through such a trial recently. Guest guest
"Pissed-Off Phred" !!!! It is so good to read you posting again and "giving attitude!!" no less, as the kids say. Welcome back and thanks for keeping it real. That PA sounds like she is just plain clueless. I'm not surprised to hear that a Vet came through for you. Military Service people often have a whole different spin on the importance of making and living up to a commitment. I hope you let your Pastor know the "assistant" needs some schooling on the word "assist". Guest guest
Lynn, Instead of Disney Land, why don't we all go to a nice little island somewhere. A place that would not allow any pain, coughing, weakness, sleeplessness, nausea or worry. No meds. There would be no need for oxygen tanks or wheelchairs. No need for docs. Just a couple of weeks off would be nice! We could sit around and eat all the fattening food that we want and not have diabetic seizures or heart attacks. We could sing with our strong voices and talk half the night. No thought of medical bills or lost income. Just a group of us enjoying a brief respite from it all. Wouldn't it be nice? Hugs anyway, Joyce PF 1997 > >> >> > Lynn,> >> > Did they tell you if Mesothelial Hyperplasia could be caused by> > asbestos? Were you ever exposed?
