Guest guest
Colleen Most CHARGErs are the sickest under age 5. You may want to attempt to get life insurance again once your child is older. Even if your child is turned down at age 6, at age 10 that may change. We were told several years ago by the life insurance company that if Caitlyn has a good " track record " for a few years, the company would reconsider. Your question regarding health insurance has been answered by others. In PA, The preexisting clause is waived if your break in insurance does not exceed 62 days and is called HIPA, the Health Insurance Portability Act of 1996. You must've had the original insurance as part of a group plan (not an individual plan), and you must've been covered for at least 18 mos. You must also be switching to another group plan (not an individual plan) unless you are on BC/BS which will allow you to switch to an indiv plan as well.
