Guest guest
Does anyone know or reccomend a dr in the DFW area that is good with kids and thyroid? I am not certain or even know if my daughter has any issues but I am concerned. The main thing that is getting me more concerned is she has orange/yellow feet and palms of her hands (and when I googled it thyroid poped up), she has night sweats, high cholesterol (and she eats very good) and she still wets the bed. Her ped is of course saying that is just normal with some kids and thinks the orange yellow feet is Vit A but she does not eat carrots all that much and never eats sweet potatoes. I know I am just a worried mom at times but just concerned and wondering if you all had any experience with kids and thyroid and had any reccomendations. I am still waiting myself to get into dr spurlock and hopefully get some help from him for me but now I am getting more and more concerned about my daughter and wondering who or what I should do for her. Thanks for any advice or help! Angie
Guest guest
Young is a pediatrician who prescribes Armour. He is in Plano. You will find him on our Texas Armour Docs List in Files. Did you ask if Spurlock would see your daughter? He does see children, but I do not know how young. >> Does anyone know or reccomend a dr in the DFW area that is good with kids and thyroid? Guest guest
Thank you for the name! I will definitely look into him. No I have not asked Dr spurlock yet. My appt is not until the end of Sept so I was going to mention her and all we have dealt with with her and then ask if he would be willing to see her. She has had a rough 5 years of heath stuff and now I am wondering if me not knowing about all of this thyroid stuff while I was pregnant with her has now harmed her. Horrible mommy guilt thinking I could have caused her to have so many issues. When she was 18 mos they actually at first though she had leukemia and had a bone marrow biopsy but they ended up saying she had a blood disorder called TEC where her bone marrow did not produce red blood cells. She also has a heart murmur and we have been dealing with sensory processing disorder too. She also has had three seizures. They say that they have all be febirle and not to worry but I am a worrier so I do! She is definitley not fatigued but very hyper but we constantly have constipation issues with her and other things that just make me think thyroid. Thanks again for your help!
