T3 gets out of your system very quickly - it has a very short half-life.

It's very individual as to whether that amount of T3 would cause anxiety. In my

experience anxiety is more associated with adrenal issues than thyroid (again

YMMV). Have you had your adrenals tested?

Can compounded T3 even at a low level of 37.5 cause anxiety?Did you start at 37.5?  For some people, the compound just seems to dump all at once, rather that working as a time release.  If it does that for you (doesn't for everyone), then it might cause anxiety.  I'd talk to Dr. S today and see what he says.

If you stop it, is it still in your system for awhile?Takes me about 3 days for me to feel like all of it is gone.  I'm not sure how long it takes for blood tests to come back with it gone, though.

Anxiety is a low thyroid sign for me…meaning

I need more thyroid. I agree with , also low adrenals. I notice

when I’m starting to get sick, that I start to feel anxious.

Probably my adrenals working overtime to fight off the illness.

Hi ,

I just read the posts on this thread and I am having some of the same stuff going on...have been seeing Dr s for only a couple of months now and was on t3 only even though he said I needed t4 for too but had a bad reverse t3 problem....last Friday I started to have to worst anxiety ever and my heart rate has been crazy! going from 80-110 and sometimes up to 130 if I am standing and just feeling really jittery and nervous. As soon as I sit down it will slow down but really scary feeling especially when standing....he sent me to get my t3 tested again yesterday. I have not talked to him but just back in forth with the nurse some...I am also thinking adrenals too and waiting on a saliva test that my OB had me do...so I would be interested to hear if your uping the dose helps you. He also had me on progesterone cream and this was the first month that I started it so I am thinking it could be that but even though I asked Florence to ask him about that she did not mention it at all when she called me back.

I hope that you feel better and that the rise in dosage will help you and that we all can figure things out with all of this crazy balancing act!!!!

Angie

I don’t know, but the T3 I am on is time released. We did an additional time released Progesterone during the day to help anxiety, and it does help!
