Guest guest
Hi Joan I suppose it depends on how the doctor said this statement. Did he look at you? Did he say it with an accusing tone of voice? It's very easy to personalize and feel defensive. Anyway, I am just glad he is continuing to prescribe the methadone for you. If he says something in the future just remind him gently about the benefits you have had taking Methadone and how affordable it is. Speak softly when you are talking to a cranky doctor, just like you would to a child, and you will be surprised how it gets their attention. I have found that many doctor's have a case of arrested development since they spent so much time in school, studying etc. and therefore didn't spend enough time interacting with people. Enough said Kaylene >The last time I saw him apparently he was ticked and said, You came in >bragging on methadone. I don't like methadone. now I have 3 patients on >methadone. >He apparently somehow blamed this on me?????????????????????????? >What do you think????? >Joan
Guest guest
Dear wise one, I can tell you are very wise in dealing with " you know who " . I went back with good results but I won't bore you with the details. I did the " gosh, I know I am just the stupid patient but after having chills, fever again, I knew you would know what antibiotic would be best. I spoke in a very soft voice. I came away with antibiotics. You are very helpful to me. Joan Kaylene Goyette wrote: Hi Joan I suppose it depends on how the doctor said this statement. Did he look at you?
